Inn Degerby Gille

The history of the Inn Degerby Gille is very long and interesting. Kings of Sweden-Finland have visited the estate in the past and more recently the estate has been visited by several Presidents of the Republic of Finland (e.g. Mannerheim ja Kekkonen).

In the earlier days the estate operated as a home for nobilities, as a hospital, a museum, a school and since 1920 it was a private club strictly for gentlemen. Degerby Gille was opened as a restaurant in 1988. Since then it has become a popular restaurant where memorable wedding parties, dinners, birthdays and business lunches are held. The restaurant is specialized in traditional foods of the region as well as traditional French cuisine. As a historical sight Degerby Gille is one of the most important ones in Loviisa. In 1745 the city of Degerby was founded on the lands of the old cavalry estate and the main building was build already in 1966. The location in the beautiful old city of Loviisa guarantees a memorable dinner.

Degerby Gille can also be used as a pleasant meeting room in an historical environment.
